Gil Golan
Gil Golan was the Chief Technology Officer and Vice President, Global Research and Development for General Motors (GM) and President of GM Ventures (CVC), until December 2023. In these roles, Golan is responsible for innovation and technology roadmap for GM’s vehicles & digital services. Prior to that, Golan serves as Vice President, Technology Acceleration and Commercialization (TAC). He led an organization responsible for defining and implementing a comprehensive Corp strategy (decarbonization, battery technology, energy storage) to maintain GM’s leadership position. Before that, Golan was Managing Director of the General Motors Technical Center in Israel (~ 1000 scientists & engineers). Golan established the Tech Center Israel in 2008 and led the teams responsible for advanced technology development and product engineering in support of GM’s key autonomous, electric and connected vehicle programs. Golan earned his bachelor’s and master’s degrees at the Technion – Israel Institute of Technology, received his executive MBA from Stanford’s Graduate School of Business and completed executive education programs at Harvard Business School.
