Kim Polese
Kim Polese is Chairman of CrowdSmart, a new form of AI rooted in the laws of nature that integrates human collective intelligence to transform how groups of any size solve problems, predict, and make radically better decisions. Kim has helped bring several seminal technologies to the world. She led the launch of Java at Sun, and co-founded and served as CEO of Marimba, today one of the world’s most widely-used IoT platforms. Kim advises numerous technology startups and serves on boards including the Long Term Stock Exchange, the Silicon Valley Leadership Group, the Public Policy Institute of California and the Long Now Foundation. Kim received her Bachelor’s degree in Biophysics from UC Berkeley, completed post-baccalaureate work in computer science at the University of Washington and is a Fellow at the Aspen Institute.
